What's Your Desert Island Beauty Brand?

seo-img-article

Earlier this month, Putri asked me an interesting question: “If you could only wear clothes from three fashion houses, which ones would they be?” It was really tricky at first: my knee-jerk reaction was to say Rodarte, Chloé, and Celine, but after putting much more thought into it, I decided to go with Chloé, Raoul, and Kenzo — three houses which reflect my rather laid-back style of dressing.

When I turned the question on her, I chose to go a different route: “Imagine you are stuck on a desert island with Idris Elba and could only wear makeup from one brand the rest of your life, what brand would you choose?” She was stumped for a minute. When I asked that question to everyone in the office, it took a while for them to really think about it before answering. Their answers are actually insightful as to what matters most to each user, and basically came down to this: What is the most important makeup product to you?

Griss – Urban Decay

Griss took a lot of time to decide what her go-to brand would be. She was torn between Yves Saint Laurent and Urban Decay (two brands with very different philosophies and campaigns), but eventually went with Urban Decay. Why? “I really like everything they produce,” she says. “I’m a big foundation and lipstick user, and Urban Decay does those things really well. And I love the Naked palette series!”

True that. This girl is never without one of the Revolution Lipsticks and the Naked palette. Check out our classic tutorial video above and how you can use the Naked palette for a party look.
