I am happy every time I learn about a new store opening in Jakarta, especially beauty stores to be exact! Here’s why: for one, beauty products are always tempting and interesting. Two: Indonesia needs more beauty brands because I think we’re left behind in terms of keeping up with our neighboring countries in the beauty department, so getting full access to many brands that usually are hard to get is always exciting.
BeautyBox opened its first store on July 2013 at Kota Kasablanka Mall, with the newest store opening in Mall Kelapa Gading. What I love about this store is how it has makeup, skincare, and fragrance products from brands that are not available at department stores or malls.
Usually we would have to join a big pre-order call or rely on the kindness of friends and relatives traveling overseas to get some of these brands. It’s something I do that most of the time, but for some products that are already available here in the city, why spend a few weeks waiting if we can buy it right away? 😀
Some of the brands that Beauty Box carries are Lollipops, BOHO Cosmetics, Novexpert, Evaflor, Glamglow, and many more. I haven’t tried makeup and skincare products from Beauty Box (YET). But I have Evaflor fragrances that I really really love, along with a fragrance from Yin Yang Parfums that I just tried. If you’re on a mission to find new makeup and skincare products or you want to stock up some fragrances, I think you might find something you like in the store.
