Your camera phone will not be useful, as taking pictures is strictly prohibited.  If you finally decide to buy a dress, you’ll get a 3,000 yuan discount.  However, if you leave the store empty-handed, you’ll have to kiss your 3,000 yuan goodbye.<br><br>Okay, that could be trouble if the bride-to-be comes with an entourage, don’t you think?<br><br>The controversial move made by the wedding gown designer immediately stirs up the heat in the fashion industry.  The Vera Wang Bridal House Ltd. elaborated in a press release that the charging policy is actually meant to help protect Vera Wang’s copyright.  China has been known by (almost all) industries as the place where counterfeiting is a ‘normal’ practice, and the steps taken by the wedding gown designer is hopefully seen as a positive way to keep her designs from being reproduced without her consent.<br><br>Although in Vera Wang’s case, the Shanghai store is the only Vera Wang international store that charges its customers to try on dresses, although Hong Kong’s local high-end bridal houses have already put this practice to use for quite some time.<br><br>Final question: Would you pay $500 to try on Vera Wang’s designs?<br><br>&nbsp;<br><br><strong> </strong><br><br><em>Image from: http://www.cpp-luxury.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Vera-Wang-Hong-Hong-flagship-store-400x243.jpg</em><br><br>&nbsp;    </div>
