La Perla always has a special place in my heart. Their dainty strip of laces is so dreamy. It’s not everyday that you would buy a pair of La Perla lingerie, but it’s something for that special occasion and especially this season’s collection. Taking the Sicilian noblewomen as the inspiration, think about Gattopardo’s ninetenth-century Sicily, with all their coquetry and charm. A retro style lingerie that is timeless and so not out of date.
The colour palette of this season is pastel with sage green, terracotta, corn yellow and pink at the centre of the collection, with the classic beige, white and black still exists within the collection.
What I love about the collection is that it’s both seductive but in a very subtle way. For instance, the type of laces used between bra cups paired up with short petticoat is just sweet and sensual at the same time.
