I Found My HG BB Cream from Kate!

I don’t know which category a BB Cream is more suitable : a product I’d love to hate or hate to love. Honestly, I’ve been through countless of them to make this observation. I’ve come to a basic conclusion for these products:

Korean BB Cream: They’re the pioneer in formulating this for mass usage, therefore making this a popular beauty product worldwide. Most of Korean-made BB Creams have grey undertones (although to the eyes they look beige), some have pink undertones (usually the “brightening” ones) but both will make my skin looks ashy and mask-like in a few hours. Even the best and sheerest of them still shares this issue (History of Whoo’s Whitening SunBB, It’s Skin’s Prestige Crème D’Escargot BB, Sulwhasoo’s Snowise Whitening BB Base). I’ve come to the conclusion that Indonesian skin is just far too tan for Korean BB Cream to look natural.

Japanese BB Cream: Capitalizing on the Korean’s successes, they formulated their own version of BB Cream. Unsurprisingly, like most things Japanese, they made the copy even better than the original. Most of them have yellow undertones (which is very flattering to Indonesian skin), better oil control (Japan’s weather is more humid than Korea’s therefore they put less moisturizing content in their cosmetics), and of runnier consistency.
