A Makeup Brand I'm Currently in Love with: The Za Cosmetics!

seo-img-article

Do you still remember back in the days when MTV Asia was the talk of the town and the VJs include the likes of Sarah Sechan, Jamie Aditya and Nadia Hutagalung? Those were the good days, weren’t they? If you know what I’m talking about, you must be living the same heyday as mine 🙂 What did you remember the most about MTV Asia other than the VJs? Probably the very exciting House of Style hosted by Amber Valetta and Shalom Harlow? Or perhaps the Za ad that kept showing on the screen. I remember all of them.

And pardon me if you don’t know what I’m talking about, but I just want to reminisce on that good old days.

Anyway, Za is apparently still very well alive and kicking in Indonesia. Being from the same company as Shiseido, you expect nothing less than stellar products from them. The only difference is that Za’s price is super affordable. I had the chance to test their products one by one when I was invited to the launching of Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV, but that I would leave to the master of BB Cream Gris to review.

There are few products that caught my attention. The foundation for one because it felt like it could blend very well, but since I didn’t have the time to try it on, I didn’t buy one.

So what DID I get? Here are the three items that I got.

1. Za Dramatic Eye Color in Blue

There are four colours in a palette housed in a plastic square packaging. With two highlighter shades, a dark blue and a light blue. The formula? It’s very finely milled, the finest IMO, just like Shiseido the Makeup eye shadows. I guess it’s the traits of Shiseido’s brands eye shadow.

One thing about finely milled eye shadow is that it blends well on the eyelids and it looks so soft and translucent. But it could also get tricky when you need to blend the eye shadow. I normally blend very VERY light-handedly with this kind of eye shadow.

With around IDR 125,000 a pop, it’s definitely a to-die-for palette, because you get the formulation of a high-end eye shadow at an affordable price.

And, the new palettes from Za have very nice selection of colours.

2. Za Pure Shine Lips in Violet Vision

This lipstick gives you the glossy effect of a lip gloss but not as sticky. On top of that, you won’t have to deal with the lip gloss applicator. It also has shimmer particles that reflect light and make your lips appear fuller and luscious.  If you want the result of lip gloss in a lipstick form, then this is it. It also has a hint of pink.

It’s moisturizing and there’s no hint of that annoying scent. Just a whiff of something that is nice to smell but it’s not noticeable that I can barely pick up what scent it is.

3. Za Total Hydration Energy Mist

Enriched with Vitamin B and it recharges your skin right away after you spray it. I always keep a face spray in my makeup pouch whenever I can, and this one is a new favourite. It’s especially useful for a person with dry skin like me who needs skin hydration midday. It feels really cool on my face and the floral scent is really nice. Not too strong too!

So, what about you? Have you tried any Za Cosmetics recently and what product would you recommend? Shout away.
