Grunge Revival from Topshop

Oooh how I love everything (well, most of) 90’s! Well, of course I spent my teenage year in the 90’s and it influenced me a lot, especially in terms of style. And it was only couple years ago that I acknowledged a specific term for it: grunge style. Grunge was actually a genre in alternative rock that emerged during the mid 80’s, and continued its glory in the 90’s era, thanks to most popular bands at that time such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Clothing commonly worn by grunge musicians became the ‘it’ style at that era, consisted of thrift store items and the typical outdoor clothing (most notably flannel shirts). The style did not evolve out of a conscious attempt to create an appealing fashion, it’s just the way the ‘tribe’ dressed; they usually (or should be) cheap, durable, and when I think of it now, it’s kind of timeless.
