I haven’t set foot at the office since last week. So much was happening and then it’s Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) time, where I practically camped at Plaza Senayan – the home to this year’s JFW. The good thing working for an online media is that your laptop is practically what you need to get your work done. Of course, as a woman, it’s only natural to take ownership of your desk at the office and ‘nesting’ is in order. I miss my desk. I miss the girls and our conversation. I miss the office! But really, a reliable laptop is all I need if I need to be frank.
Tuesday and Wednesday were relatively a slow JFW day for me since they moved several schedules. So I can relax a bit and write several articles in between shows and actually enjoy watching them without being in a rush to move from one place to the next. If you’re wondering what’s happening, let’s just say due to some unforeseen circumstances the JFW fashion tent need to be moved to a more secure location. If Rome wasn’t built in a day, well, the new Fashion Tent – located at the Plaza Senayan’s ex-bowling area – was built in a day (or two). Fret not people, because the JFW is still running as we speak, but instead of 7 days, we got 10 days for this year’s JFW.
