With more and more online stores popping up recently, one benefit that I feel is I could find answers to the old-age question “What should I wear to this event/party/gathering?” more easily. At least that’s what happened to me this week. On Monday I realized I had a birthday dinner party to go to on Wednesday and I didn’t really have anything to wear. Okay that may not be entirely true, but this dinner was quite informal and was followed by a party, and I think I didn’t have any outfit that could fit both occasions perfectly.
Luckily, among the many tabs opened on my browser, one of them was Scallope and there were a few items there that already caught my eyes. So I decided to order a dress. Then I thought oh why not a necklace and bracelets to go along with the dress. Then I thought, I need a new clutch as well.. and before I know it, I ordered enough stuff to create a whole outfit (minus shoes but only because the ones I had my eyes on weren’t available in my size).
Anyway, the next day, the items arrived and my problem was solved! Here I am at the day of the dinner party, doing my Angelina Jolie right leg pose (though mine was left leg :D)

I love the fact that this dress has a contrasting colored fabric on the sides because it gives me a slimmer silhouette. The dress hems are actually shorter on the sides…a LOT shorter, hence the name “mini side dress”. Because of this high slit, I have to be really careful about sitting down when wearing it. And I definitely can’t wear it to just any event, it will be reserved for those occasions when “party” is the only agenda! 😀
