What is it: Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
The Claim: The powerful formula effectively helps to fade the appearance of dark spots, age spots and discolourations due to aging, years of accumulated sun damage, environmental assaults, and past blemish marks, to reveal a more uniformly radiant complexion. A verified 53% improvement in skin tone after using this serum for 12 weeks. Improvements in skin clarity and radiance are immediately noticeable. The Review: It has been almost 8 weeks since I first started I use this highly recommended serum. I could actually argue for this isn’t exactly what my skin needs. I always consider my face to be relatively spot-free, just one little blemish mark. I put my concern more on my uneven skin tone, as it is visible enough – it is particularly darker under my lips. Given these, I first thought that this ‘spot’ specialist wasn’t the perfect match to attack that problem.
However, when I look closer and more thorough on my left cheek, I notice that there is a slight sign of improvement on the dark spot that was caused by hyperpigmentation. It isn’t very visible at a quick look, but it’s there. So this serum actually has something to prove, although may be the immediacy differs from one person to the other. 
I am familiar with many products of Clinique skin care, and I always love with their formula, consistency and pretty much every characteristics. They absorb quickly, leaving skin feeling good. Moist and smooth in the morning. After almost 8 weeks of use, I do feel an improvement on my skin. It seems more luminous, a tad brighter than couple months ago. The dark spot, indeed, looks lighter. From the picture that I took before and after, we can see it become a bit clearer. The blemish mark is still visible, but a bit lighter than before. And for the discoloration under my lips, unfortunately, it is still there.
I will continue using this until the 12th week, as suggested, and see how my skin improves. Guess I can say that this product has shown its power on breaking the ‘melanin dust’ in the surface

The Verdict: This is a wonderful product with sophisticated claims, and I have to agree with them. This product is suitable for my normal-combination skin, as well as other skin types. For optimal and visible results, it is also highly recommended that you pair this product with another skincare booster. Overall, for those of us wanting brighter, radiant and even-toned skin, this product will deliver!
What Can be Improved: As spot specialist, it does great as it is. Referring to Clinique’s catchphrase for this product – ‘we believe when skin is more evenly toned, we look younger’ – it would be great if it does more for discoloration problem.
