Things I Have Learned These Past Four Months in Female Daily

Being an intern in Female Daily Network for 4 months has given me a lot of priceless lessons and unforgettable experiences. Here are some of the lessons that I got these past four months:

1. Understand the digital world.

Being a part of Female Daily Team has taught me a lot of new digital knowledge that I haven’t discovered before. I learned the theoritical stuffs of digital marketing in one of the classes but here, I’m getting to know more in depth about it, and how it works in reality.

2. The power of women community in Indonesia.

Like digital marketing, I also learned about the point of community in one of my classes.  But I  thought that community is just a name of a group of people that have  similar interest and passion,  gathered in some kind of place or media without giving big impact on anything. But then I was wrong. 4 months in this girly office made me amazed with the power of online community, particularly Female Daily community. I just found out that there are a lot of things that they share online. From their personal experience about fashion, beauty, parenting, kids, family, up to selling and buying women stuff through the forums.  I found it very interesting.

3. How to work in a real working environment.

I’ve done internship twice, but the first one was only a month long and the job isn’t the same as my  internship here in Female Daily. The internship here makes me know how to work behind my own desk, getting the job done, and submit it to my supervisor. I’m responsible to create and design a marketing plan for the Female Daily’s upcoming project, and this is one of the real responsibilities for me to handle. Usually, I created a marketing plan with imaginary products.

4. Involved in a big event besides school or college event.

I really love to be involved in events. But my previous events experiences were just a highschool and college event, but here I’ve got the chance to be involved in a big event that made me acquainted with a lot of new people and met new faces. So this experience surely gave me an advantage for my knowledge and networking.

5. Recognizing a lot of different characteristics of working colleague.

During this internship, I get to be close to the people in the office. I love observing my colleague and starting to recognize that there are a lot of different characteristics in this office. And I found it very unique!

6. Sharing and caring. Warm, fun, comfort working environment as a family.

Sharing and caring is the sweetest thing in this office. We shared stories, experiences, even gossips, and especially foods! Snacking and chit-chatting is the session I always look forward. We also have a sharing session every Monday morning where each one of us present about anything in front of all the team, everyone updates everyone on work related issues and one of us will present about something, complete with the powerpoint presenttion. I had a chance to do one before I left. This article is my sharing session material.

The sharing session creates a warm and fun working environment and makes us feel more like family.

But the most important thing is….

7. Meeting a group of kind, pretty, funny, amazing , helpful,  great ladies (and gentleman) like them.

From all of the lessons that I’ve got by having the internship at Female Daily, the most important thing is I had the chance to meet a group of wonderful people.

Everyone here is really nice and helpful. They helped me to give every information that I needed, taught me about everything that I never knew before.

So, last but not least I want to thank everyone at Female Daily Head Quarter (K Hani, K Affi, K Nopai, K Amal, K Vanya, K Lita, K Manda, K Syita, K Putri, Mbak Irma, Mas Eko, Ningsih)  for giving me the opportunities to be a part of this family, being very helpful and informative about everthing I asked and I need, letting me involved with Female Daily Network project and making it  it as my thesis material. It’s been a very nice experience working with all of you .  Thank you so much, and I love you all 🙂
