The One That Gets My Spots to Vanish; SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist

seo-img-article

I’ve been meaning to write the review for SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist for so long but never got the chance to really do it until someone at the SK-II thread asked a review on this product. So here it goes.

First thing first, what is SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist? It’s an improved version of SK-II Whitening Source DermDefinition that has been known to effectively reduce spots and had won many awards. While the Whitening Source DermDefinition target to even skin tone in general, the enhanced Whitening Spots Specialist is able to even your skin tone and at the same time reduce the formation of spots and target the hidden spots that haven’t yet surfaced to the skin, as well as eliminate the spots that are already seen on your skin.

Who will need SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist? Those with uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation obviously shown on their skin. This will be the perfect product for you! But if you’re only looking for a brighter complexion I would suggest for you to use the Cellumination range instead. I’ve previously written a review on the Cellumination Mask-in-Lotion, hopefully in the near future I can write a review on the essence too.

When and how to use SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist? After you’re done with your double cleansing routine, lotion and SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, take a few drops of this product to your palm and spread it evenly on the face. You can massage more product into the area where you see obvious spots.

It’s very important to pair up this product with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence because it will act as a very good driver of your already good vehicle (SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist) which will take you to the finish line (a brighter spots-free skin) faster. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence has been known to increase the efficacy of many ingredients and many of the ingredients used in SK-II products work complimentary with the pitera with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence.

If you would like to use this together in combination with SK-II Cellumination Essence you can either use the SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist at night and SK-II Cellumination Essence in the morning. Another option is to layer them together, use a few drops of SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist first and then after it dries up, you can layer another few drops of SK-II Cellumination Essence afterward. The two of them combined together will not create any adverse affect other than a deep dent in your wallet.

Overall review on SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist

Formula-wise ,I feel that SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist absorbs faster that its predecessor. It doesn’t have any funny smell on me at all and I didn’t see negative reaction when I first used this serum.

I combine this serum with my Shiseido Aqualabel cleanser and foaming wash, SK-II Cellumination Mask-in-Lotion, SK-II Facial Treatement Essence and Menard Tsukika Moisturizer. They all work just fine with one another and again there’s no adverse reaction found from this mix at all. The key is keeping everything else simple, because I want to target on eliminating the spots on my face so I use basic care for the rest of the skincare products on my routine.

I have a few acne spots that started to darken prior to using this serum as can be seen from the photo below:

After a month of use, I started to see a significant improvement on my dark spots and they started to dissipate significantly. In two months, they have completely disappeared! I would love to give you the no make up photo, but you can just visit this article and see my skin without makeup and see that there’s no visible spot on the photos I put on that article.

But I have this photo below, which, like the photo above ,I also use powder foundation so I have the same amount of coverage on my face.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this product for those who have stubborn dark spots.

If SK-II in the future would love to develop this product further, I would love to see a serum that is a hybrid of SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist and SK-II Cellumination Essence. Using too many layers of skincare is just too much of a hassle sometimes 🙂

How much? SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist is Rp 1,089,000 (30ml) and Rp 1,634,000 (50ml).
