As promised, here is the review for Max Factor Lash Effect Mascara which was introduced when they first launched the brand in Indonesia last month.

According to Fabio Stefani, Director for Max Factor Asia, mascara is one of the brand’s strength. “If somebody is to put up a gun to my head and ask me what our best product is, I would say mascara.” he said during my interview published in this article.

I guess he wasn’t exaggerating, False Lash Effect mascara is among the top-selling products globally. The ‘wow’ effect that this mascara produced is due to its patented Liquid Lash™ formula combined with the iFX brush technology. The brush has 50% more bristles and 25% bigger core compared to other Max Factor mascara such as Masterpiece Max mascara. This new innovation is said to be able to coat each strand of our lashes easily and make them look dramatically thicker and fuller.

The brush is big, but the small bristles make application less awkward and clumsy than any other mascaras with large wands I’ve tried before. What I like about this product is the formula which in my opinion, is at the right consistency. It’s not too thin, which usually causes the product to smudge to your lids during application (especially with a brush this size), nor is it too thick and clumpy. My lashes do look thicker and fuller after using False Lash Effect mascara though I wouldn’t go as far as saying it looks as if I’m wearing falsies. But I’ve only tried using one coat, I figured two coats will give me a more dramatic result.

Anyway, I’m also quite happy with its lasting power. I wore it for the whole day, a hot one at that, and it didn’t smudge at all. My lashes stayed curled all day long.

The verdict? I like it! If you’re bored with the same type of mascara you’ve been using for a long time, you should definitely try Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara. It’s not too “va va voom” so you can still wear it daily, but if you want more dramatic lashes for special occasions without the trouble of applying falsies, you can try doing a double (or triple) coats.

Anyway, while I was playing with this new mascara, Deszell and I decided to make a short video on it. She was the one who recorded it and I was the one doing the editing. This is my first time editing a video so please bear with the quality 😀

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara is available at Max Factor retail outlets in Sogo Plaza Senayan and Metro Department Store Gandaria City. It’s available in Black and Black-Brown and retails for Rp. 125.000
