E! Worthy Red Carpet Look by Stila

seo-img-article

Are you still experiencing Golden Globe red carpet euphoria like we do? Boy didn’t all those celebrities looking gorgeous in their fancy dresses and beautiful makeup. One thing for sure, looking at the pictures of the Golden Globe 2011 red carpet makes me want to recreate the look.

Affi told me yesterday after she posted the Golden Globe article that Stila is releasing “E! Live from the Red Carpet!” in collaboration with E network for their pre-award show with the same title, which is the perfect tool to recreate some look on the red carpet. The collection is already available in Ulta Stores starting this month. It consists of $25 palette with six eyeshadows, convertible color and kitten all over shimmer powder. There’s also $45 blockbuster palette with 21 eyeshadows, two convertible colors and two cheek colors. Lastly, there will  be a $20 palette with four eyeshadows. Sarah Lucero, Stila celebrity makeup artist, will be featured on “E! Live from the Red Carpet” on-air-segments along with the product during the on-air-segments during the upcoming movie award season according to WWD.

Jill Tomandl, vice president of innovation, product development and package design of Stila said about the collection that “it gives them [Stila’s customer] the touch of Hollywood and to aspire to be like that.” This product allows women to replicate clean, classic beauty looks, from sultry and smokey eye looks to trendy and o-the-moment looks Stila customer spot on the red carpet at home added Tomandl and Deanna Kangas, president and chief executive officer of Stila.

Now onto the products. I’m most excited about the $25 palette because it (almost) has everything I need to recreate the red carpet look that I spotted on the Golden Globe. What’s so good about the palette is that in every colour of the eyeshadow, it tells you where to use it, whether its a base, lid or crease colours. There’s also a step by step instruction on how to create a look using this palette.

Now let’s see whose look we’re going to recreate using these palettes.

Amy Adams sported a nice raspberry-ish pink lips with a cool pink blush.  On the eyes, she was using Lancome’s newest colour which will only available on February. But the center of this look actually fall on the beautiful pink lips and cheeks.

The key product in this palette is actually the convertible color in Stunning that you can apply on both lips and cheeks. It’s a little bit warmer than the one Amy Adams used but I think it suited to the Asian tone better. You can apply the convertible color on the lips after you put on your lip moisturizer so it looks more glossy and for the cheeks tap it lightly to build the colour on the apple of your cheeks after you apply your foundation but just before you set your face with powder.

For the eyes, I’ll pick a-list, a shimmery beige as a base colour lightly and on the lid put more colour concentration with the same shadow. On the outer edge of your eyes, smudge Backstage lightly to create depth. For the liner, I would opt to use a soft tight-lining method so the liner colour wouldn’t look to harsh and just a layer of moisturizer.

Finish off the look with dusting Kitten All Over Shimmer on your cheekbone and you can use it as a highlighter on your brown bone.

The makeup that Megan Fox had here is really hard to pull off for some people. It looks really cool with a lot of pale pink going on although the eyes look sultry. I suggested if you have a really warm skin tone, you better avoid this look altogether.

The key to this look is a perfectly lined and framed eyes. Use Cinema eyeshadow, a pale nude, all over your eyes as a base then layer the lid using a pale gold eyeshadow named Academy and finish it off with Film Black, which is a black eyeshadow with shimmer on the outer corner of your eyes and blend it upward. Rim your waterline with your favourite black eye kohl liner but make sure that it’s waterproof. Layer your eyeliner with a little it of Film black and put a little it of Kitten All Over Shimmer on the inner corner of your eyes and on the brow bone.

As for the cheeks, apply convertible color in Breathtaking all over your cheeks lightly and after you apply your powder layer it with Kitten All Over Shimmer, again lightly.

For the lips, you can use Breathtaking layered with your shimmery pink lipgloss.

I love the look that Heidi Klum did here, but I would go for a warmer coral lips just to tone it down a bit. Love the glamorous copper eyes, but I will loose the white eyeliner.

With this palette you can create the strong copper eyes by using Glitz, a pale golden beige, as a base and layer it with On the List, a pearly beige, to make the colour pop. For the outer corner, layer Golden, a warm gold, to intensify the colour on the outer part of the eyes. Also apply Golden lightly on the lower lashline. Rim your waterline with black eye kohl liner with the exception of the inner corner. Dust a little bit of Kitten All Over Shimmer powder on the inner corner of your eyes to finish off the eyes.

As for the cheeks and lips, use Glamour on the cheeks and lips. For the cheeks, layer it off with a coral coloured blush, such as NARS Gina or Gilda and layer it with Kitten All Over Shimmer powder. For the lips, layer Glamour with a coral tone lipgloss.

So do you think you will get any of these 3 palettes?
