I have been seeing a lot of products with faux fur in it recently, from jacket or cardigans to full faux fur vest. I think it must be the Fall/Winter products euphoria that fur or faux fur (more affordable!) is a must because it’s really warm to be worn in extremely cold condition. But living in Jakarta, everytime I see one, I would ignore them right away when I saw them couple of seasons ago.

Of course I wouldn’t opt for a coat, where would I wear them anyway? But you see how they could be really beautiful and have that expensive look feel to them?
Alas, my ‘kacamata kuda‘ doesn’t actually work anymore. I finally picked up a faux fur bolero couple of months back from our beloved Market Plaza because it started to grow on me. Now that I see them on the Pre-Fall 2011, I think I can really make it work and put the faux fur cape to work. Bolero or cape I think are easier to work with because even though fur (real or faux one) are pretty damn hot to wear, the more minimal they are, the more wearable they are. I wore mine for the whole day during the JFW where I spent the whole day inside the air-conditioned mall compound and I didn’t really feel them to be too heavy nor hot.
I’m thinking about the waistcoat too, because they look adorable too don’t you think? It also looks chic belted or with a dress.

What do you all think? Are they still too much? I found couple of faux fur waistcoat and vest from the high street labels such as Zara, Mango and Topshop. The vest in middle in particular, I’ve already seen it in Mango and it’s on sale – 50% if I remember correctly.
