Investing on dressier looking heels might not be something that I’m too fond of. Most of the time the choices seems to always fall back on heels that looks too bling-bling for my taste. To top it off, they’re always priced ridiculously! I’m sorry to say that this might be one purchase that I’m not willing to commit.
To compromise, I tend to look for sandals that still looks formal so that I can wear it with my formal dresses but I can justify the purchase because I can also wear it for another occasion. Something with a simple shape but has that extra touch that could pass for a formal look.
Take for example this Valentino satin bow heels, it’s an open toe sandals with a simple diagonal strap across the front but the closed back have large bow at the back to make it perfect to be worn with your cocktail dress. It can easily take you from wedding, office party or formal events without a style glitch. What’s perfect is that it has a side buckle fastening so it stay put on your feet. I’ll try to avoid d’orsay as much as possible because at parties you tend to be on your feet all the time.
The Valentino satin bow heels cost £391.30, the price tag sadly is too heavy for my wallet. So what do I do now? Found the perfect heels that I want, but the price is not within my budget? Of course like any smart shopper would do, I try to find something in similar design without making my wallet cries all night long.
I found what I want at Linea, the Schutz heels that cost Rp 1,195,000 is just exactly what I want! It has a nice ruffle detail at the back and it’s made from suede material that looks so luxurious. Even though the price tag is only one fifth of the Valentino but you can see that the Schutz pair is made with such high standard of craftmanship.
Also, knowing how Mbak Phebe, the General Manager of LINEA, highly praised this brand because they always makes good quality of shoes which also good in price, I already knew that I’m making the right choice 🙂
