2009 is about to come to an end and boy what a year it has been! One coat is enough to lengthen and boost the volume of my lashes. It has comb-like brushes to make it easier to cover the inner corner. Another good thing about this mascara is it’s waterproof and it’s stay really long…which brings me to its downside; it’s kinda hard to remove, even with cleansing oil.

My biggest makeup challenge is to draw a straight line to ‘frame’ my eyes.
I have been searching for the perfect eyeliner that can work with my unsteady hand. Until I found this lovely eye liner.
The pen shaped brush makes it easy to draw a thin line.
It has a clicker on it’s back to control the amount of the product we want to use, and most of of all, it doesn’t smudge, no matter how many times I rub my eyes 🙂

For me it’s Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash because it’s gentle, yet effectively cleans my very oily face.
I’m a fan of natural face & body products, but often they are either expensive or inconvenient, or both; Himalaya Herbals products are neither, and I’m on my second tube already.
It’s about Rp60k but I’ve managed to get them cheaper at FD Market Plaza.

If I have to choose only one brush, then I will have to pick MAC brush #217. Applying eyeshadow, sometimes your finger does the trick. But I absolutely can’t live without 217. I haven’t found any blending brush that does the job as good as the 217. I even find it not redundant to have more than one. Just in case one is dirty, I still have another as a back up.

I actually wanted to mention another product, one that isn’t so hard to find, but I can’t say goodbye to 2009 without sharing to you how happy I am to have found this fragrance. I’ve always loved oriental perfumes and frankincense is one of my favorite notes. The frankincense in Annick Goutal Encens Flamboyant is slightly smoky, warm, exotic and is perfectly blended with the other notes – pepper, roseberry, car
damom, sage, nutmeg “old church” incense, absolute essence of mastic tree and balsam fir. It works like magic on my skin chemistry and even though the sillage is quite strong, I am never annoyed with its consistent presence. I am happy to smell it all day and all night, and because of its impressive lasting power, I can do that. This is the perfect fragrance for those who are planning to seduce someone, paired with silk, seductive music and lots of candles.

My HG concealer! I’ve tried many concealer from various brands and for now my skin is in love with MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer. It gives you perfect coverage, lasts all day without ever getting cakey, and doesn’t crease or smear, throughout the day.
I apply this concealer sparingly under my eyes, on the nose folds, and, and on the cheeks to cover old acne scars as well as reddish pimples and it works so well I’m impressed. It is creamy enough that you can mix it with any moisturizer and create your own tinted moisturizer (with higher coverage than your typical tinted moisturizer, of course, because this is a concealer).
The only thing I don’t like is the deep pot container. I like to work with my finger, but sticking my fingernail in it is not so hygienic. I guess I need to use a brush to get the product out of the pot, and then my fingertip to work on it.
Other than that, it’s my go-to concealer.
