Bottles of Fun

seo-img-article

Have you ever bought a fragrance just because it has an interesting bottle? I know a friend who does that. She doesn’t care what the juice smells like, doesn’t care if it suits her or not, it she likes the bottle, she buys it.

I am a lot more fastidious in my perfume shopping habit but I do enjoy discovering interesting, sometimes wacky, designs of fragrance packaging.

Here are 2 new ones that could send my friend into a frenzy. Marc Jacobs Lola and Diesel Only The Brave.

Marc Jacobs Lola is MJ’s latest perfume which is still sold exclusively on Bloomingdales. Like Daisy, the bottle of this perfume is perhaps the real attention-grabber. It has a big and bright vinyl flower and looks so quirky. Even though, it is not the kind of fragrance I’d likely to spend my money on (the notes are : pink peppercorn, pear d’anjou, ruby red grapefruit, fuchsia peony, rose, geranium, vanilla, tonka bean and creamy musk), I wouldn’t mind having this on my dresser 🙂

Diesel Only The Brave is obviously a men’s fragrance. It is named after Diesel’s founder Renzo Rosso’s Only The Brave charitable foundation and the bottle is modeled on Rosso’s fist. Diesel has come up with some interesting bottles and this one is no exception. I can tell some alpha male would probably dig this especially that the notes sound so manly (lemon, leather, cedar and amber) but as for me, I can’t help but thinking of sport drinks whenever I see it!

Love them or hate them? Or what do you think is the most interesting / quirky / wacky / pretty perfume bottle?
