When I first started getting into red lipstick, I did my research on the internet and found that women were talking about MAC’s Russian Red with the same wide-eyed awe seen in the faces of superstitious fishermen who have seen mermaids — and it turns out that all the myths were rooted in reality! I would apply this lipstick in the morning and not worry about it budging until well into the night. I don’t even mind that the matte formula dries up my lips a little at the end of the day, because that can be easily remedied with some Vaseline overnight. Definitely one of my ride-or-die lipsticks.
