#FDBeauty Video Tutorial: Sky High Lashes

seo-img-article

And now, the time has come to reveal the secret behind Angela Jess’ long, thick spider lashes. Nope, she doesn’t get her signature look with a tube of eyelash glue and falsies: this is all the work of multiple coats of mascara and fiber lashes!

Remember to do as the master does for the desired effect: start by curling your eyelashes (so underrated!), then apply a coat of lengthening mascara (Angela Jess used the Anna Sui Super Black Long Lash Mascara), fiber mascara (Too Faced Better Than False Lashes), and volumizing mascara (Maybelline Volum’ Express Turbo Boost Mascara).

Repeat this process as many times as you want for the desired length and thickness — Angela Jess will do up to five coats herself! And then for the spider lash effect, she uses fiber lashes from Tsuya Tsuya Angel Eyes and tops it all off with a waterproof mascara (Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara).

Here’s another tip: when applying fiber lashes, hold a small piece of paper under your lower lash line to keep wayward fibers off your face. Think you’re ready to try it out for yourself? Go for it!
