Texture Improvement with Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Cream

seo-img-article

I’m excited to write the first ever review of Origins in FD! Origins is not a new brand, but I don’t know why there are very few review about it here. Maybe because it hasn’t yet reached our shores yet?

I first noticed this brand when I visited the DFS Galleria Scotts in Singapore where I pampered myself with mini facial to try out their products. I fell in love with their philosophy about producing natural skincare products. Here’s the Origins promise:

Origins products are formulated with natural and certified organic ingredients and 100% natural essential oils. And formulated without parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA and animal ingredients. We manufacture using a combination of renewable resources, wind energy and earth-friendly practices.

The brand was founded by Leonard Lauder in 1990, son of beauty royalty Estée Lauder. It’s one of the original brands developed by the Estee Lauder company. What I will be reviewing today is the Origins Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-aging cream. To be blunt, I only tried this product because I happened to have a sample of it which lasted more than two weeks. But much to my surprise, I kind of loved this product and am thinking of purchasing a full size jar.

What is it? It’s an anti-aging cream that promises result in 4 weeks of usage. You will see significant result in your skin suppleness and reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. It contains anogeissus to penetrate deep within our skin to block naughty enzymes that weaken skin’s elasticity. With that said, it would be a good product to use for countering the early signs of aging. It also encourages the production of new fibrillin to keep our skin looking youthful and lifted. So instead of waiting till the time to get it where you already have wrinkles, better get it now!

Why do I love it? Because unlike most anti-aging creams in the market, the texture is very fluid and not heavy at all. It absorbs quickly on skin but doesn’t disappear completely. I use it both day and night, but the true test is at night where I wake up the next morning with no tightened feel to my skin. Since I have very dry skin, this means that the moisturizer is able to hydrate my skin throughout the night. Not many light-textured moisturizers are able to do this. It comes in two formulas: cream and gel. While the cream is best suited for dry and normal skin, people with oily skin can opt for the gel version.

Do I see any improvement on my skin? Very much so! I feel that my skin texture is very supple and plump. I love how it improves the texture of my skin. Since I don’t have much wrinkles yet, I couldn’t vouch in this area, but I did notice a softening of my smile lines in only two weeks of usage.

The best part is that this cream is already powered up by broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 25 to keep your skin protected from bad UV rays. And I’m head over heels with the scent that is very “green”, I think it’s more of herbs and plants kind of scent compared to floral.

The price is USD 55 for 50 ml and I think it is worth every penny.

Have you tried any Origins product and which product would you recommend me?
