Fashionese Daily was invited to the Lancôme Hypnose Show last Saturday, and it was a show where we could check out the emtire special edition Alber Elbaz collection in action, accompanied by a mini fashion show. I volunteered to come to the event even though it was Saturday, because how was I going to turn down the opportunity to see the famous Alber Elbaz collection and play with these cute and attractive makeup products?
Glow Plaza Indonesia was transformed into a mini runway for the Lancôme Hypnose Show. Irma, Junior Manager of Lancôme, welcomed us and gave a brief introduction about the Lancôme Alber Elbaz collection. Deszell has been raving about this limited-edition line and mentioned how pretty the packaging is. Phew, let me take a breath, to say that yes, I couldn’t agree more. Mr. Elbaz, you got me there 🙂
As many of you probably know, Alber Elbaz is the creative director of Lanvin. Through a collaboration with Lancôme, he created three designs for this limited collection: Doll Eyes (red hearts), Drama Eyes (pink polkadots), and Star Eyes (the one with blue star, obviously). Each design contains a 5-color palette, mascara, and single eyeshadow.
The Hypnose Show wouldn’t be complete without a makeup demonstration on the spot. I got a chance to see each product in action and found out that the 5-color palette (retails for IDR 650,000) comes with a dark shade that can be used as eyeliner, and we can use the eyshadows both wet and dry. If you need intense color, then wet your brush first. Very practical and suitable for day and night time. Another thing that I love from this palette is it has magnetic packaging that I think is very secure for protecting the product inside.
The single eyeshadows (IDR 280,000) are also perfect for a quick application on eyelids, or we can use it as a complement color for the whole eyelook. They are great for blending colors, and the soft silky cream texture is definitely hard to resist. As for mascaras (IDR 375,000), I think all of us already know that Lancôme mascaras have amazing quality. I will post a review on one of Lancôme Hypnose Alber Elbaz mascaras, so stay tuned for that! 🙂
