Wednesday Wish List: Flats from Pedro Summer 2013 Collection

seo-img-article

Singapore-based shoe retailer Pedro has rolled out its Spring/Summer 2013 collection, and what a collection indeed! This luxury offshoot from parent company Charles & Keith has gone along with the current nautical-themed trend that has been making waves as of late. Its peep-toe wedges and cap-toe flats are in line with plenty of resort collections being unleashed by fashion houses right now; it’s so easy to see yourself strut around the docks in a shirtdress and one of these kicks while the coda of this excellent rock classic song serves as the soundtrack to your stroll (start at the 3:43 mark):

See for yourself!

Now since there is a desperate shortage of jetties in South Jakarta for me to stroll around on, I took a walk around Fashionese Daily’s editorial quarters instead and asked everyone on the team which shoes they were most on board with. Here’s what I got!

Amalia. Our Managing Editor is an perpetual motion machine, never sitting still long enough and always needing to be somewhere five minutes ago. This is probably why she picked out these gold-capped flats: they don’t seem like kind of shoes that will give you grief after hours of pounding the pavement. Grisselda. Our Associate Editor, Gris, took no time in picking out these lounge-y blue loafers. “I like the colour,” she says. “And the print…is that stitched on or is it an applique?” We couldn’t really tell from here, so I guess we’ll have to solve that mystery by studying the specimen in person. Dhany. I guess what you can distill from this little experiment is that Fashionese Daily team values comfort above everything else, because I also picked out a crazy comfortable-looking loafer! I like the white because it’s a different choice from the dark-coloured loafers I already have at home (black, brown, dark blue). The little ship’s wheel is also a cute little nod to the nautical craze too 🙂

What’s your favourite from this release? Be sure to pick yours up at the Pedro store nearest to you for a very bon voyage 🙂
