Be the Next Cartier Women's Initiative Awards Laureate

seo-img-article

What is Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards? It is a competition for women entrepreneurs.  An annual international business plan competition where each year, the Laureates will receive US$20,000 and coaching support for 12 months.  The Laureates definitely will have HUGE advantages because they will have access to international network that will help their business grow, not only locally but also internationally.  Not to mention, they will be published on international media.

The award was created in 2006, and it is a joint partnership between Cartier, the Women’s Forum, INSEAD Business School and Management Consultancy McKinsey & Company. Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards will be given in the following categories : Asia-Pasific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa, North America and Sub-Saharan Africa.  So you can imagine how wide the network is.  This is a great opportunity for everyone, everywhere.

The 2012 Edition is the first year when Indonesia sent an applicant to join the competition, and also for the very first time, we won!  ( I can’t help myself but feel proud 🙂 ).  Lianna Gunawan is the Laureate for Asia-Pacific.   She was chosen among 1,000 applicants and was one of the three women to make it to the 2012 finalists.  How cool is that?  Lianna Gunawan is the founder of La Spina Shoes. Probably here in FD you are familiar with her or the brand itself.  Lianna loves shoes, and she produces hand-made shoes, turning a hobby into a business.
