Well this is embarrassing. My US trip was 5 months ago, yet there are a few pictures left on my computer that I still haven’t published. Really need to work on my time management (I’m putting it in my 2013 goal)
Anyways, these pictures were taken on my last day in the Big Apple. I was kinda sad that my adventure was about to be over but was happy that I got to experience so many exciting things during my short trip. Some of those things I did were courtesy of a wonderful host who accompanied me on my last day. Can you guess who she is?
Yes..it’s none other than DYS! To those who are new to FD, DYS was our contributor who lives in New York City. In the above picture, she is the one on the right, wearing an orange top, while next to her is Dinda from Make Up For Ever. Oh how I miss reading her always insightful stories about what’s going on in the fashion industry. I was also super thrilled that after 5 years communicating online, we finally met in person! We met the day before at Bryant Park, where we had a quick lunch and then DYS dropped me off at SOHO because she had to go to the dentist. But not before we promised to meet again the next day at the ferry station because we were going to take the Staten Island ferry to catch a glimpse of The Statue of Liberty! DYS promised me this was a better way to see the statue, rather than paying for the round trip to Liberty island. And she was right! The Staten Island ferry was free of charge, it was a pleasant ride though it was a raining a bit that day. That didn’t stop us to stand on the deck to take pictures though!
