Holiday Eye Look Tutorial; Wear The Sheen

Some of us may be a little afraid of using shimmery eyeshadow or shade that has a lot of sheen.  It may too much to wear on a daily basis.  Ssst, if you blend it nicely, it won’t look weird and to be honest, it’s wearable.  Now let’s put it this way.   How about we try it this holiday?

I have a Sleek Makeup i-Divine Storm Palette, and since this palette have a lot of shimmery and rich sheen shades, it’s perfect for today’s tutorial.  I only use 4 colors from this palette.  Muted silver color, pink sheen, cranberry color and the matte light brown.  I will put marks on these 4 colors, so you can adapt this look with your eyeshadows.

The key of this look is blend, blend, and blend.  You don’t want to see sharp edges.  It should be subtle but noticeable.  So make sure you have at least one blending brush to do it :)

  1. Use your eyeshadow primer.
  2. Put the pink sheen on your eyelid, not all over, just 2/3 of your lid.  Put it a higher than your crease line so if you open your eyes, you still can see the color.
  3. Put the cranberry color on the empty spot we left earlier, I still use the same brush, just flip it out and use it for this color.  Blend it nicely.
  4. Now we’re going to slightlty wing it out.  Use the tip of the brush and put a little amount of cranberry color and try to make a wing.  It won’t be super noticable like dark smokey eyes, but the wing is a helper to lift up our eyes.
  5. Use the matte light brown to blend the edges of the two shades we put earlier.
  6. Highlight your tear duct area.  Add the muted silver color to the inner corners.
  7. Put your eyeliner.  I use gel liner.
  8. Don’t forget to line your tightline.  I find pencil liner is the best for doing this job.  Also, line your lower lash line.  I don’t line all the way in, just half of my lower lashlines.
  9. Curl your eyelashes and put some mascara.

Here it is the final eye look :
