Our Personal Styles of Kebaya
When Fashionese Daily got the invitations to Sariayu Bazaar Fashion Celebration: Langgam Tiga Hati, it was Syita and I who came to the event. The invitations stated “personal style of kebaya” as the dress code so both of us got a bit busy thinking of what we should wear.
In the end, I decided to wear a black lace top, black tube top as the inner (it is actually a bandage mini skirt but I found that it worked as a tube top too :D) and dark blue carrot pants. I chose this black lace top because for me it looks like the simplified version of kebaya which is mostly made from lace. I would love to dress all out with traditional textile as the bottom, but that day I just needed to dress practically so I preferred pants.
On the other hands, Syita prepared her outfits really well. For her it was a great time to wear her tenun because the fashion show will feature a lot of Indonesian traditional textiles. Syita even changed her clothes into this outfit before the fashion show started. I think she dressed perfectly for the event.
