Emporio Armani's Grand Slam Effort with Rafael Nadal

seo-img-article

Have you seen the pictures of the new campaign by Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans with Rafael Nadal in it? Before I say much about it, let me just ‘bare’ all the picture out first.

And I save the best for last …

I’m not a big fan of football and I don’t really follow who’s the new hot guy from that scene or any athletes in general actually. But if there’s anyone who has been on my radar, that would be Rafa. I always have an eye for Rafa since the beginning of his tennis career, because to me, Roger Federer looks too ‘polished’ in a way. Although nowadays I don’t really follow his tennis career anymore because my grand slam watching days are over.

Rafa replaced the football star Cristiano Ronaldo as the new face of both Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans, and as you can see above the ads image is as drool worthy as Ronaldo’s one. He’s might not be the most photogenic person out there, but come on, look at those shoulders, biceps and abs!

The black and white ads were shot by Steven Klein in Mallorca and still carries the same feeling as the previous brand’s campaign. Although the shot looks amazing, but there’s definitely something wrong with these pictures. As I mentioned above, Rafa is not the most photogenic person, but here his face looks very different. It looks too sharp and sculpted. Is this another case of overly airbrushed advertising campaign? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that’s the case, because the images from Giorgio Armani Beauty campaign with Megan Fox strongly looked like she’s been overly digitally retouched.

What do you think ladies, is the campaign of Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans with Rafa an ace or not?
