Jason Wu Going Environmentally Plastic

seo-img-article

Jason Wu will be the first American designer to collaborate with the Brazilian plastic shoe maker Melissa. After the successful collaboration with Gareth Pugh, Viviene Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier, it’s time for Wu going for the plastic treat in spring.

Wu commented on the collaboration with Melissa and said that plastic is such an interesting material to work with. “I wanted to take advantage of the materials I was given, make it all completely functional and waterproof and yet still remain extremely sophisticated.”

Wu’s interpretation of his own version of the famous footwear is instead of creating his own unique Melissa shoes, Wu is going to customize two of Melissa’s classic pairs; the Ultragirl ballet flat and the Lady Dragon peep-toe slingback. Me personally, I would always fall for the Lady Dragon heels. It has a nice curve and makes your feet looks sexy. The Lady Dragon pair will have a gold sunburst accent taken from Wu’s latest Fall collection. For the Ultragirl, it’s going to be adorned with a bow and Miss Wu owl logo. The shoes will be available in black, burgundy, nude and transparent gray.

A yummy looking shoes? Who could say no, right?
