Spring Comes Early with Orange

seo-img-article

I couldn’t help but to share the images of the lips of RTW Spring 2011 show because I saw a lot of lips that leaning toward orange. I’m currently in love with orange lips especially after I tried the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist No 40 which is a true orange lipstick. I found that orange lipstick makes a bold statement but at the same time it gives a break from the usual red lips. Don’t get me wrong, I love red lipstick but orange seemed to be the more carefree sister of red lipstick.

Before I met the MUFE Rouge Artist No 40, my orange-ish favourite lipstick was MAC Lady Danger, it’s an orange-red lipstick that just really brighten up my mood. It still have the glamourous feeling of a red lipstick but like I said a little bit of fun from the orange. But I have a problem with it’s matte formula since it’s very drying to my lips. I’ve also heard that MAC Lady Danger was discontinued.

Luckily for me, I’ve recently found a dupe which have a similar colour but it has less intensity than Lady Danger. It’s Revlon Luxurious Living Lipstick in Orange Flip, since it’s not matte it doesn’t run as opaque as the Lady Danger. However, the formula is far more forgiving than the MAC one because it’s very moisturizing. On top of that the price is Rp 45,000!

If you have an orange lipstick that you love, please do share it with us.
