Holiday Sun Protection

seo-img-article

Anyone planning to go to the beach and enjoy the wonderful sunny weather? Well if you are, don’t forget to bring yourself a bottle of sunblock to protect your skin from the heat of the sun.

My principle, in anything that I bring with me for traveling, is that it has to be able to multitask so I don’t have to bring ten thousand different things with me. Therefore I choose sunblock that has several functions, they are:

  • Tinted sunscreen or base that offers UV protection such as Shu Uemura UV Under Base and Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint which protects from UVA and UVB but at the same time can give little aid to even out your skin tone as well as acting as a makeup base. Affi has previously written an article regarding these two products here if you want to know more about them.
  • Sunblock that can be used both on your face and body, so you don’t have to bring different bottles to protect different parts of your body. I have previously written a review on the Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF 50 that can be used for both face and body. It also has a very light texture so it’s perfect to be used on both areas because it absorbs easily into the skin. There are also a lot of other sunblock products on the market that can be used on face and body. Just check at the back of the bottle whether your sunblock for the body is safe to use on your face as well.
  • Sunblock that is safe for both you and your kids. Sometimes it’s such a hassle to bring different types of products for everyone in the family. Thankfully, nowadays skin care brands are kind enough to produce sunblock that is also safe for your toddlers. One product in particular is the newly repackaged Clinique Sun SPF 50 Body Cream that has a really good texture (not too thin and too thick) and safe for kids over 12 months.

You don’t have to bring all the three types above along. Choose one that best suits your activities or conditions.
