Admittedly, I was a bit scared to hear about Clinique Derma White range. Or any skincare range with the word “White” in it. Simply because I don’t want to put anything on my face that can whiten my skin and also because I do not agree with any campaign that tells women that they need to have fair skin to be beautiful. However, after I read more about what Clinique Derma White is all about, not only do I feel better about the range, I actually can’t wait to try some of their products!
Recently, Clinique conducted a Truth in Beauty global survey that provided us with a snapshot of what the beauty concerns for women are around the world. We discovered women in Asian countries are less concerned with lines and wrinkles and more concerned with blemishes and age spots.
With skin discoloration being the number one concern for most women in Asia, especially during the spring and summer, Clinique identified and consulted with key dermatologists from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China to gain insight on the most effective and comprehensive treatments.
They learned that because there are so many different causes of discolouration and that there is no one solution. As dermatologists strive to understand the degree and depth of each person’s unique problem they create a customized regimen for each patient’s needs.
Based on this research and Clinique’s own 40 years of experience, they created Clinique Derma White, a custom-fit brightening line that includes four categories for all skin types: daily care, treat, prevent and makeup. Each product in the Derma White line works together to target Asian skin concerns, specifically help battle the multiple causes of skin discolouration, while restoring the complexion to a brighter, more even-toned state, immediately and over the long term.
Derma White’s five new products include a new and unique-to-Clinique ingredient combination of Coral Glass and Calcium which strengthens the skin, making it less vulnerable to external aggressors and possible future dark spots. The new products are:
